Tunbridge Wells Museum & Art Gallery is a free, award-winning local museum offering visitors a variety of fascinating exhibitions and special events.   

In the Museum you can see the world’s largest public collection of Tunbridge Ware, enjoy outstanding collections of costume, art and toys, and find out more about the local High Weald environment.   Tunbridge Wells is also the home of the table football game Subbuteo and the Museum has a special display dedicated to this craze!

The Art Gallery hosts a range of historic and contemporary art exhibitions.  With at least six different exhibitions per year, there is always something new to see.  Past shows have included prints and sculptures by Eduardo Paolozzi, Victorian paintings and drawings, high quality work by local artists, work by local community groups inspired by the Museum’s collections and a Walking with Dinosaurs exhibition.

The Museum & Art Gallery provides an inspiring destination for visitors of all ages.  Whether you are interested in the story of Tunbridge Wells, are looking for creative inspiration or just want to take some time to relax the Museum & Art Gallery are there for you to enjoy.  With interactive activities for children and family quizzes and trails, it’s a great place to spend an afternoon with friends or family.

Special events, including evening talks, guided walks, and art and craft workshops, run throughout the year.

Sundays 10am-4pm
